Ah yes, the joys of NPB's Central League, good luck finding any footage from this game online. I've included the usual highlights below, but they are courtesy of the Yakult Swallows and the yogurt merchants unfortunately only show highlights from the home team so you won't see any run-scoring plays for the Eagles. I'll cut to the chase and let you know that this game ended in a 4-4 tie. Miguel Yajure's pitching was pretty awful giving up 7 hits and 4 runs in 5 IP with only 2K.
Rakuten struck first on a sac-fly in the 2nd by Itsuki Murabayashi. When I look for silver linings in this disappointing season, Murabayashi has certainly been a revelation and I can see him occupying that 3rd base spot long-term unless he pulls a Ogoh and forgets how to hit next season. Oscar Gonzalez blasted a two-run home run in the 5th (can we get a highlight of that please Yakult?!) and he tied the game at 4 in the 7th with a sac-fly to center. Excellent showing from the Eagles bullpen, basically everyone contributed over the 12 inning game to hold the Swallows to 4 runs and keep things tied. Now it becomes a 2 game series...also, the box score for this game is ridiculous!
